What is uSnapshot?

uSnapshot is an extension for Umbraco that allows you to export fully operational ASP.Net websites from the Umbraco CMS. It gives you the power to create Umbraco websites the way you normally would, including macro's, templates, document types, etc... and be able to export this structure to an ASP.Net web application which can be hosted externally to Umbraco.

Features

• Allows you to export the content and templates of an Umbraco website to run when Umbraco isn't installed
• Provides a mechanism for edit-once deploy-multiple sites, resulting in a single content entry portal to running a site on multiple environments
• Allows Umbraco to run behind a DMZ/ firewall with no external back-office access
• The exported web application doesn't need any reliance on the Umbraco DLLs or the /umbraco or /umbraco_client folders and therefore the exported web application is stand-alone with no CMS attached.
• Sites are exportable from a start node Id. If you have multilingual websites or multiple websites in one Umbraco instance you can easily export an individual site.
• Helps make Umbraco unit testable through a custom set of APIs
• The export process can be run via command line to easily integrate into your build or CI process
• Exporting can be done directly from the Umbraco back-office UI (Coming soon)
